By default, your report photographs will not display timestamps.

However, the Flow team can configure your report templates to show timestamps on photos, as shown in the example below. You'll need to request this change by raising a support ticket.

Why show timestamps on photos?

Sometimes it's helpful to know precisely when someone added a photograph during a survey – this might be to show your client when activities occurred, or to provide your accreditation body with a historical sequence of events.

For example, during an asbestos four-stage clearance, the HSE 248 Standard stipulates that any photographs you take should include the date and time details.

What does the timestamp show, Exactly?

The timestamp shows when the photograph was added to the inspection record not when the photo was taken.

Examples:

Photos taken with the camera

If you take a photo from within the Mobile App using the camera, the timestamp will effectively show the time the photo was taken (since this is the same time as when the photo was added to the inspection record).

Photos uploaded from the gallery

But if you upload a week-old photo from the gallery, the timestamp will not be one week ago, when the photo was taken. It'll be the time the photo was added to the inspection record.
